Quarterly Presidential Update – July 2025
Dear Esteemed IAUP Members,
Thank you once again for your continued engagement with the International Association of University Presidents. Your leadership and vision continue to inspire our shared mission: advancing global collaboration, innovation, and peace through higher education.
Last month, we convened in Johannesburg, South Africa for our June 2025 Executive Committee Meeting, hosted with warm hospitality by the University of Johannesburg. I extend my deepest thanks to all who joined either in person or virtually. The meeting was a powerful reminder of IAUP’s global momentum with updates on our expanding network of 150+ active members, upcoming leadership publications, student initiatives, and regional developments.
Looking ahead, I am pleased to formally invite you to the IAUP 60th Anniversary Celebration and Semi-Annual Meeting, taking place October 13–15, 2025 in Seoul, South Korea, hosted by Seoul Cyber University. This landmark event will explore the theme “Higher Education Reimagined: Innovation, Inclusion, and Global Collaboration in the AI Era.” If you have not already, I encourage you to register at https://iaup.iscu.ac.kr. Please also help extend personal invitations to university leaders in your network. Your outreach makes a difference.
