IAUP Celebrates XVI Triennial

IAUP Celebrates XVI Triennial

Every three years, IAUP hosts a Triennial, which is the largest gathering of chief executive officers from universities around the world.  The 16th IAUP Triennial was held on June 17-20, 2011 at the Marriot Marquis Hotel, directly overlooking Broadway and Times Square in New York City.  The Triennial marked the transition of leadership from President Barham Madain Ayub (2008-2011) to President J. Michael Adams (2011-2014).

Organized around the theme of “Building Bridges Through Higher Education,” the Triennial featured panels and plenaries on higher education as a bridge for human development, a bridge to peace, and a bridge for sustainable economic development. IAUP is grateful to our generous sponsors: Sungard Higher Education, McGraw Education, New York Times Knowledge Network, Education Testing Service (ETS), Microsoft Partners in Learning, ELS Education Services, Institute of International Education, Nuventive, and Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL).
