IAUP Prague Semi-annual Meeting

The first IAUP semi-annual meeting of the 2014-2017 triennium was very successfully held in Prague on September 12-14, 2014, with the gracious hospitality of our host, Rector Bohuslava Senkyrová, of the University of Finance and Administration (VSFS) and the patronage of the President of the Czech Republic, Mr. Miloš Zeman. A representative from the Presidency of the Czech Republic honored us with his presence at the gala dinner on September 14, 2014. IAUP President Toyoshi Satow and Rector Bohuslava Senkyrová both referred to the fact that this meeting marks the very first time that an IAUP meeting takes places in Prague.

Great Success of the XVII IAUP Triennial Conference

The IAUP XVII Triennial Conference was held in Yokohama, Japan from June 11-14, 2014 with complete success. About 400 participants from around the world gathered in the most important event of our association every three years. This marked the second time that a triennial conference was held in Japan. The X Triennial Conference was held in Kobe, Japan on July 11-14, 1993.

Established in 2004, the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education Annual Meeting brings together higher education institutions from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. More than twenty higher education chief executive officers gathered in Doha, Qatar, from 25-28 October 2013, for the Fourth Annual WISE Program for Education Leadership. Developed by the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) in partnership with the Institute for International Education (IIE), the program seeks to prepare newly appointed presidents, rectors, and vice chancellors for the personal and professional challenges of leading their respective institutions.
